My Name!!

To me my name is everything i am.  I, at times, can be a very proud person.  I am very proud of my name. In hawaiian my name means protector or guardian.  It means a lot to me and being the oldest in my family my name suits me as I protect my siblings.  I'm hawaiian and japanese and in both cultures we are very proud.  What we are seen as and what people think of us is very important to us.  So I'm the kind of person that doesn't like it when insulted and is willing to fight when myself and my name is insulted or blackened.  People see me as a lot of different things and others have their different opinions when they hear my name.  Some of my friends see me as a goof and someone to have a good laugh with and others see me as someone to go to when having a hard time and need some help.  How other people see me is very important to me and I get sad when someone who doesn't even know me that well doesn't like me.  I feel that most people judge to much on outward appearances and what they see for the first time.  The majority doesn't take them time to really get to know someone and how they really are. I laugh about it but a lot of people either see me as annoying or really quiet, depending on who I'm with.  Without getting to know me people will make that assumption.  When they get to know me most people like me and say I'm really fun.  Some have told me stuff like, "I never thought you were like this when I first met you." and comments like that.  I try to do things that'll give me a good name but sometimes people just make assumptions from little mistakes I've made. The same applies to others out in the world.  So try to make a good name for yourself.

  1. I think that's so true how people just judge when they don't even know you like i said on mine also. I think people should get to know other people more before they decide to judge. I think that's really cool...what your name means!! :)

  2. I think thats pretty good. I like how you shared experiences about how some people never knew what you were really like.
